OBITUARY: JENNIE C. AINSWORTH TULLIS From the Thomasville Times, June 28, 1884, Thomasville, GA Our community was again suddenly saddened on Thursday last by the announcement that Mrs. Dr. Tullis was dead. She had been quite ill since the birth and death of her babe, a short time ago, but her friends were hopeful of her speedy recovery, and the news of her death to many was as unexpected as it was sad. She was a daughter of Rev. J. T. Ainsworth, was a member of the Methodist church, an exemplary christian, a devoted wife, an affectionate mother, a kind neighbor, and a good and true woman. Last Monday was her 28th birthday and the anniversary of her marriage. She died at 4 1/2 o?clock on Thursday afternoon. The funeral services were at the house on Madison street at 2 o?clock p. m. yesterday, conducted by Revs. Mr. Tiller and Mr. McGehee, and interment immediately after in Laurel Hill cemetery. To the surviving husband and little boy and girl we tender our heartfelt sympathy. |
