                          Councillor's Mother Dies In 85th Year
  Stellarton- Mrs.Janette Johnson, Poplar St., died at her home on Friday afternoon after a period of failing health. A member of  First Presbyterian Church, she was 84 years old last Sunday and was born in Stellarton, a

daughter of the late Hugh and Sarah Fleming. Mrs. Johnson is survived by one son, Councillor James Johnson, Stellarton with whom she made her home; and four daughters, Eva (Mrs.Percy Higgins), and Marion, both in Ottawa; Mrs. Frances Compton, Prince Edward Island; and Lillian (Mrs.John Kowalski), Stellarton. She was predeceased by her husband, a son in infancy and by several brothers and sisters. The remains will be transferred from the Eagles Funeral Home to her late residence, that of her son James on Poplar Street and the funeral will be held from there on Monday at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev.D. Neil McCombie. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery.
