Mrs. Maurice Helferich, one of the pioneers of this township, died on Saturday, last after a years illness, aged 76 years. The funeral took place Tuesday morning, requiem mass being sung by Rev. Fr. Pinsonneault, in the R.C. church, McGregor, and internment in the R.C. cemetery. The deceased was a Miss Drouillard, and after marriage with Mr. Helferich resided in Anderdon on the 7th Concession. They had two children, a son and a daughter, Maurice and Mrs. Drouillard, who reside on the homestead. Among those who were in attendance at the funeral, wer Mrs. Helferich's only brother, William, of Detroit; Mrs. S.J. Pettypiece of Amherstburg and her two sisters, Mrs. Shay and Mrs. Utter, of Detroit."
