!BIRTH-PARENTS-MARRIAGES: Bona Arsenault, HISTOIRE ET GENEALOGIE DES ACADIENS, vols. 1-6; 1630-1775; Quebec, Le Conseil de la Vie Francaise en Amerique, 1965; p. 717 (Port Royal); Univ. of Calif., Berkeley Library, CS31 A77 MAIN. Under entry Veuve PELLETRET, Arsenault claims that the widow PELLETRET (Perrine BOURG) married for the 2nd time to Rene LANDRY around 1645. He lists two daughters, Henriette born 1641; Jeanne born 1643. In her own entry below, Jeanne PELLETRET married twice, 1st to Barnabe MARTIN, 2nd to Jacques LE VANIER. In the entry of husband Barnabe' MARTIN on p. 678 (Port Royal), it says they married in 1666, and that Jeanne was originally from Paris [France]. !CENSUS: 1671, Port Royal, Acadia [p. 11]. Listed in her mother and stepfathers' entry (Rene LANDRY "Lesne" & Perrine BOUR) as married, age 28 [born 1643?]. The first child entered has surname spelled PELLETROT, clearly the child of Perrine BOURG's 1st marriage. But no surname is listed for Jeanne. In her own entry [also on p. 11], Jeanne is living with husband Barnabe MARTIN and 2 children. Name there is listed as Jeanne PELLETROT, age 27 [born 1644?]. !CENSUS: 1678, Clarence J. d'Entremont, "Recensement de Port-Royal," in MEMOIRES DE LA SOCIETE GENEALOGIQUE CANADIENNE-FRANCAISE; vol. 22, no. 4; p. 234; sent by PERSI in Jun 1999. On Folio 20: Bernabe MARTIN & Jeanne PELLETRE, with two boys and four girls. !CENSUS: 1686, Port Royal, Acadia, [p. 15]. Name Jeanne PELTRET, widow of Barnabe' MARTIN, age 45 [born 1641?], left with 7 children, 4 arpens of worked land, 6 cattle and 4 pigs. The oldest daughter is 18, the oldest son is 15, others age 12 to 8, and 2 other children not named or ages given. [Were they possibly not the children of Barnabe' MARTIN?] !CENSUS: 1693, age 52 years. !CENSUS: 1698, age 49 years (sic). !CENSUS: 1700, age 59 years. !CENSUS; 1701, age 55 years (sic). !MARRIAGES-CHILDREN: Bona Arsenault, HISTOIRE ET GENEALOGIE DES ACADIENS; 1625-1810; Ottawa, Editions Lemeac, 1978, 6 vols.; p. 817 (Port Royal, Jacques LE VANIER dit LANGEVIN's entry); own copy. Jeanne PELLETRET (widow of Barnabe' MARTIN) married around 1691 to Jacques; they have one daughter listed, Elizabeth, born around 1692. Is it possible that the entry on p. 441 under Jacques (Le) BOUCHER, born in 1663, married around 1690 to Marie PELTRET could be this Jeanne (Marie)? Three children are listed: Marie, 1691; Joseph, 1698; Paul, 1699. !CENSUS: 1693, age 52 years. !CENSUS: 1698, age 49 years [sic]. !CENSUS: 1700, age 59 years. !CENSUS: 1701, age 55 years [sic].
