Jean VIGNEAU dit MAURICE, born 1704, son of Maurice & Marguerite COMEAU of Port Royal, he married around 1733 to Louis-Isabelle ARSENAULT, daughter of Charles & Francoise MIRANDE. Three daughters are listed. A "caboteur" [coastal trader?], Jean was commandant of Port Toulouse in 1752. He had with him then two orphans, Charles BOURG & Simon POIRIER.
