- 31 July 1802: Will of Jean Miskelly, widow woman, in York District and State ofSouth Carolina, "to my daughter, Jean Garvin, part of my wearing apparel consisting of3gowns, 2 petticoats, one quilted, the other flower flannel, all my head cap, one set ofneat china ware, one fine bed sheet, one coarser do and one pillow, one bed, ruff; one tea pot and cream jug which the said daughter may dispose of as she pleases after my deceased with a woman's cloak and fine shift;"
- Jean Miskelly, deceased, the bequeathment in full as specified in the last will &testament of the deceased to her daughter now Jean Garvin rec'd by us.

- Notes: Jean Miskelly Garvin must have died between 18 July 1803 &21 Dec 1804.1 believe she died before the deed below as there is no dower release. This transfer of property from Thomas Garvin, Sr. to Thomas Garvin, Jr. was probably after Jean/Jane's death and before his marriage to Margaret.
