In 1861 Jane McNair Scott (b. 1814 Glasgow), house proprieter, lived as head at 28 Eldon St., Greenock, Renfrewshire, with Mary Scott (b. 1817 Glasgow), Anne M. Stevenson (b. 1846 Stirling), niece, and Mary M. M. Stevenson(b.1851 Stirling), niece (census). Jane died 2 oct 1881 at Mount Pleasant, Gourock (newspaper notice).
