    In the town of Willing, Allegany Co., N. Y., Oct. 1st, 1873, Jared Stillman, aged 63 years, 9 months, and 1 day. He was a man remarkable for his honesty and uprightness, and greatly loved for his Christian character. In early life he made a profession of religion, and continued till death, taking the Bible as his only rule of faith and practice. His funeral was largely attended by friends and acquaintances, when a discourse was preached from the words of the Psalmist, "I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness."
