Willing is a town in Allegany County, New York, United States. The population was 1,228 at the 2010 census. The town is on the southern border of the county, south of the village of Wellsville. [edit] History
The area that would become the town was first settled around 1819. The town of Willing was formed in 1852 from the towns of Independence and Scio. In 1875, the population of Willing was 1,713.
