In the 1870 census Ravenswood, Jackson Co, WV Jane R. Blake is listed as the wife of Amanda Blake who is a 30 year old male. Obviously, the census taker wrote Amanda instead of Emanuel Blake. Three daughters are listed on the next page: Bulah age 6, Effa age 4, and Edna age 2.

(This same census taker, on the same page, listed Jane's father as Ziba instead of Zadoc.)

I don't know why Effie was out of order in this census. I do notice that Jane is divorced, but do not know when that event occured.
