Personal History

Jane Walln(e), daughter of Nicholas Walln by his wife Jane (Turner), was born 16 5mo. [July] 1675, (Settle MM) in Yorkshire W.R. (later in Lancashire).[1]

Jane emigrated with the family to Pennsylvania in 1682, leaving from the port of Liverpool and arriving on the Lamb on 22 October 1682.[2]

At the Neshamina monthly meeting, on 5 1mo. [March] 1690/1, Samuel Allin Jr. and Jane Walln, daughter of Nicholas Walln, both of Neshamina, in Bucks co., Province of Pennsylvania, first published their intentions of marriage. At the monthly meeting held on 2 2mo. [April] 1691, they published their intentions for the second time, and the meeting gave their consent. Samuel and Jane were married 27 3mo. [May] 1691, at the Friends meeting house at Neshamina.

    Note that later in the Neshamina (or Middletown) MM book, her date of birth is stated to be 16 6mo. 1675.
