From folio 16:
“In the yeare 1677 in the 08th month & on the 03th day thereof Jane the wife of Nicolas Wallne bare him a daughter & he called her name Margerett”
The year is probably incorrect in this register, especially if one assumes that the entries were in chronological order. The following entry (#50) has a date in the 5th month of 1677. Also entry #47 was corrected from 1675 to 1676, and it is possible that entries #48 and 49 should also be in 1676. Furthermore, when one considers that her brother Richard was born in “yeare 1678 & in the 04 month & on 06th day” (entry #53), if 1677 were accurate, his birth would have followed hers by only 8 months.

From folio 87:
“Margeret the daughter of Nicolas Wallne dyed the 28th day of the 01 month & in the yeare 1676 & was buryed at Newton”
The year for this entry should have been 1677 (the first day of the new year was March 25). Previous entries also gave a date in month 1 in the year 1676, but the following entry was for month 2 in 1677.
