- ↑ "Suit brought by Susan HELLINE, widow, against John MAJOR, for her payment and time in looking to his wife the time she did lay in childbed, and upon due examination and the oath of Agnes WILLIAMS, it is ordered that the said John MAJOR shall pay unto Susan HELLINE, 18 hens within this month, and he shall pay the said Susan by September next, 30 hens, and also the charges of this suit. Agnes WILLIAMS, aged 24 years, deposes that Maudlen, the wife of John MAJOR, did bargain with Susan HELLINE, widow, for help while she lay in childbed, and did promise to give her 12 hens, which hens were to be paid by Anno Domini 1632
