Jane King is proven to be one of the five un-named daughters listed in the will of John King of Augusta County, written in 1792, probably one of the youngest daughters. She is listed as "Jane McCutcheon", filing an affidavit for her brother John King for his Revolutionary War Service in 1832 in Hall County, Georgia. On IGI, her mother is listed as "Margaret", and indeed, John King, Sr.'s wife was also Margaret. Joseph McCutcheon, her 2nd husband, died on 13 December 1825 in Hall County, Georgia, which is adjoining Jackson County, where her brother John King, Jr. lived.

Her marriage record to Joseph McCutcheon in Augusta County, proves both of her marriages, and the fact that she was a daughter of John King:
