    ... About 1707 he [Edward Edelen] married Elizabeth, the widow of Moses Jones, of Prince Georges County. Moses Jones died in 1706, and left besides his widow six minor children - John, Thomas, Notley, Jane, Anne, and Elizabeth. [1] The tracts "Thomas Chance" and "Pinner" held by Edward Edelen at his death were formerly a part of the estate of Moses Jones.
    In 1708 Edward Edelen "who married Elizabeth the executrix of Moses Jones" petitioned the court to pass his account upon the estate. [2] It seems as if the estate was not settled until many years thereafter. In April 1715 he submitted an account, and others in May 1725, and December 1726. [3]
    At an account filed on May 7, 1727, it distinctively states "Edward Edelen who married the relict of Moses Jones". He accounted for a disbursement to "Christopher Edelen who married the said Jones' daughter" as well as one to "Robert Innis who married another daughter". The balance due the heirs on that date was 13 shillings and 5 pence. [4] ...

    27 Jul 1727 - Indenture between Christopher Edelin and Jane his wife and Dr. Robert Innis and Elizabeth his wife of one part and Edward Edelin, carpenter; Moses Jones bequeathed the moiety of land called "Thomas' Chance" to son Thomas Jones who died intestate and without heirs; then to Moses' son Notley Jones who died intestate and without heirs; it became the right of Jane and Elizabeth Jones, sisters to said Thomas and Notley Jones; this indenture for and in consideration of a tract called "Dublin" and £10 conveys to Edward Edelin their part of "Thomas' Chance", containing 100 acres of land.
