Jane Hucklesby was born in Luton in 1874, daughter of a straw hat sewer named Rebecca Hucklesby, formerly Kempson, and her husband Levi Hucklesby, a hat blocker. Jane appears in both the 1881 and 1891 censuses living at home in south Luton with her parents and siblings. In 1891 Jane's occupation was described as "sees to the house".

Jane has yet to be researched after 1891.
