    Jane, daughter of Valentine HARMON & Sarah BAKER, was born in "middle" Tennessee. She married Jacob M. Meadors, son of John MEADORS & Delila JONES, April 16, 1821 in Whitley Co., KY. Jane & Jacob had 13 children during their time in Whitley Co. It's difficult to imagine the hardship of leaving family, friends & life as you've known it for 30+ years to venture, as she, Jacob & their family did in 1851, to relocate to land in the 'West'. They went to Crawford Co., AR - joining their siblings, William J. MEADORS & Sarah (HARMON), who made the journey before them. These two families stayed, raised their children & lived out the rest of their lives.
