Jane Forsey was born in about 1839 at Winsham in Somerset, daughter of a laundress named Fanny Forsey, formerly North, and her husband Francis Forsey, a carpenter. Jane appears in the 1841 census living with her mother and siblings at the hamlet of Bridge in Winsham parish. By 1851 the family had moved into Winsham village. Jane has yet to be researched after 1851.
