Fanny North was born on 21st February 1806 at Winsham in Somerset, daughter of John and Fanny North.
Fanny was married aged 27 on 10th October 1833 to a carpenter named Francis Forsey. They appear to have had four children together between 1834 and about 1845. Their second child was born at Combe St Nicholas, a few miles from Winsham, but they had returned to Winsham before the birth of their third child. In the 1841 census Fanny was living at Bridge, a hamlet in the west of Winsham parish very close to the county boundary with Dorset. On census night Fanny was staying with her sister, Elizabeth, who had married John Lewis Paull at Winsham a few weeks after Fanny's marriage, with Francis having been one of the witnesses to Elizabeth's marriage.
By 1851 Fanny and Francis were living in Winsham village. Each census from 1851 to 1881 finds Fanny and Francis living in the village, consistently living on Fore Street after 1871. Fanny worked as a laundress and charwoman.
Francis died in 1885. Fanny survived him by seven years. Her daughter Sarah, who had not married, continued living with her. Fanny died in 1893, aged 87.

1806 Births and Baptisms No. 2 Fanny of Jno. & Fanny North Born 21 Feb[ruar]y - Baptized 13 April
This baptism has been linked to the Fanny North who married Francis Forsey on the basis that it is at the right time and place to match the age and place of birth the adult Fanny quoted in the censuses, plus this Fanny had a brother with the distinctive name John Oliver North (ch. 6 May 1810: John Oliver? son of Jno & Fanny North) and the adult Fanny named her eldest son John Olive Forsey. Moreover, one of the witnesses to Fanny's marriage was a John North.
