Jane Beavers was born about 1812, in Georgia, United States, her father, John Beavers, was 28 and her mother, Mary Polly Shields, was 44. She married James Edmonson before 1833. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 7 daughters. She lived in New Madrid, Louisiana Territory, United States in 1850 and New Madrid Township, New Madrid, Missouri, United States in 1860. She died on 5 May 1868, in New Madrid, Missouri, United States, at the age of 57.
