The son of Addison and Catherine Ann Waddell. He wrote papers on Geography and Worship. He was a Physician and a Presbyterian Minister that graduated from the University of Virginia. I have seen that he served in a medical capacity for the Confederacy, but found no official documentation. I did find the posted letter stating that the Union Army appropriated a sorrel mare of his. He was described in that 1864 document as a citizen.
