Lineage - Marinus-Cornelis-Jacobus-Garret-James-James Jr. Service - James, the youngest son of James and Jane Van Noy, enlisted in t he Civil War SErvice from the Wyalusing District, Bradford Couty, on 18 Au gust 1862 in Company A, 141st Penna. Vol. He was promoted fromSergea nt to 2nd Lieut, participated in the battle of Gettysburg and was kill ed in the battle of Morris Farm, Virginia in his 24th year. Hiswar reco rd appears in "Our Boys in Blue" 1861 to 1865 by Haverly, Vol. #2. His na me and records appear on the Lincoln Way Memorial in Gettysburg Pa. |
