    "James2 Tenney (Thomas 195), born 15 : 6 mo. 1650; married 3 Oct 1684 Abigail, daughter of John Lambert. … He succeeded to the ownership of the homestead of his father, whereon he lived from the time of his marriage to 4 Feb., 1700-1, when he sold his homestead to Mark Prime, and moved to a larger farm in Rowley, now in Byfield Parish (Essex Deeds, 32:5). He was living there, 16 May, 1716, when he gave land to his son, John Tenney (Essex Deeds, 31:128). He died before 19 Jan., 1725-6 (Essex Deeds, 49:205)."
