    Will of "James Smith of Needham ... Joyner; being sick & weak in Body", dated 4 May 1754, proved 22 Nov 1754, names wife Mary Smith; son John Smith; son Mathew Smith; son Archibald Smith; son William Smith; daughter Mary Colburn; son Robert Smith. Wife and son Robert to be executors.

    "The Church records inform us whence James Smith and his wife came: 'Jan: 9. 1726. James Smith & Mary his Wife admitted into the Church. They came from Ireland A.D. 1718 & Brought a Testimonial with them from Mr. John Stirling Minister of the Congregation of the Belly kelly in the county of Londonderry'. ... James Smith died May 18, 1754 (his gravestone says May 16)..."
    [Note: italics in original. Note his oldest son is recorded in Needham records in 1716 which could mean it was recorded after the fact, or it could mean the above tradition is incorrect. The cited Find A Grave memorial gives his birth in Boston in 1688 (i.e., here), but James Smith is a common name and more evidence is needed to make the connection.]
