27 Apr 1747: William Ockinton of Needham Husbandman for £ 650 conveys to William Smith of Needham Weaver a tract of land with dwelling house about 30 acres in Needham. Witnessed by James Smith Archibald Smith.
[Note: fact that both witnesses are named Smith suggests a relationship and is why (combined with the naming of one of his sons Archibald) it is thought that William is the son of James and Mary Smith of Needham.]
