The Last Will and Testament of James Mann of Elbert County,Ga. was signed June 26, 1814. He bequeathed his estate to his wife Judith during her life time and then to be divided between his sons John, Joel, Jesse, James, Jerimiah, Asa, and Henry; and his daughters Martha Shackelford and Elizabeth Roebuck. The property mentioned included the following slaves: Daniel, Dosha, and Silva. His wife, Judith, and son, John, were named executors. The LWT of James Mann was placed into probate in Elbert County, GA on Aug. 11, 1814.
