In 1871 John MacIndoe (b. 1823, wrongly transcribed as 1853 in ancestry-com, Churnside, Berwickshire), I P tondowner (?landowner), lived at Sardinia Pl., Cecil St., Govan, Glasgow, with sons James B. (b. 1857, Duntocher), Patrick P. (b. 1856), art student, and Alexander D. (b. 1854), clerk (census). James Black MACINDOE was born 18dec1856 in Old Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire (IGI). James was born at Dalmeric House, Duntocher and died 6apr1913 at Montgomerie Cresc. Binnie, vital records). James married (2) Catherine Hannah Clark THOMPSON (b. 7oct1866, d. 31jan1933 Park Circus, Glasgow), res. 1891 Grosvenor St., Hillhead (P. Binnie).
