Jackson, James Duncan, aged 81 years, died at his home on Jackson's Ridge. He was one of Trimble's best citizens, was a Confederate soldier, a member of Company E., 4th Kentucky Cavalry. Four children survive: Tom and Emmett Jackson and Mrs. J.W. McMahan of this county, Mrs. Gus Morgan of Childress, Texas. He was a member of the Christian Church at Beech Grove. Rev. R.H. Law will hold services at the home Friday. Burial in the family graveyard. Note from a descendant that the information that James Duncan Jackson was a POW in the Civil War has been challenged.
