May not be the son of George Hume of Wedderburn

"James Hume is said to be identical with the James Hume of Cumberland Co., Pa, but no proof has been found to substantiate that statement. Cursory research concerning these two men - John of Me., and James of Pa., indicate they may have both been early immigrants to this country." [1]

Also note, that in the estate settlement of George Hume, James is named as the 5th oldest child and not the youngest, but if going by the dates on the known tombstone of James Hume of Cumberland PA, it would make him younger than the youngest son Charles.
