  4.   Apparently, because this person died in Warwick, Source:Allred, Marilyn. Town of Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Genealogical Records 1739-1900, Births, Marriages,, p. 142, seems to assume this is the person who married in Warwick in 1796 Milly Rawson. But it seems inconceivable that a person would marry at age 14 to a woman 7 years older. The only census found for James Holmes in Warwick is 1850 when he is said to be 65 and unfortunately, no name is given for his wife. However, her age is 60 which would be about 15 years younger than Milly Rawson would have been in 1850. So again, Allred's assumption that this James Holmes m. Milly Rawson appears flawed. He is probably the James Holmes Jr. who married in New Braintree in 1815 to Azubah Bartlett, at which time he would have been 32, not quite 33.
