    James H. Hershberger, 91, Cresaptown, was dead on arrival yesterday morning at Memorial Hospital.  He had been ill 10 years.

    His wife, Mrs. Bessie V. Robinson Hershberger, died last March 31.
 
    Born in Cresaptown, he was a son of the late Abraham and Matilda (Shuck) Hershberger.  He was a member of the Cresaptown Methodist Church.

     Survivors include four sons:  Lance Hershberger, Pattersons Creek, W. Va.; Rex Hershberger, LaVale; Gordon and James Hershberger, Boonsboro, Md; a brother, T. Raymond Hershberger, Cresaptown; two daughters, Mrs Harley Harris, Fairmont, W. Va. and Mrs Chris Snyder, Cresaptown; 24 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

     The body is at the George Funeral Home where services will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.

     The body will be taken to the Cresaptown Methodist Church tomorrow at noon where services will be held at 2 P.M. with Reverand Balderson, pastor, officiating.  Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
