Obituary from The Cumberland Times News 01 April 1962:

Mrs. James Hershberger 

   Mrs. Bessie Virginia Hershberger, 85, Cresaptown, was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital yesterday.
   A native of Fort Ashby, she was a daughter of the late Moses and Mollie (Malone) Robinson.
   She is survived by her husband, James H. Hershberger; four sons, Lanz Hershberger, Patterson Creek; Rex Hershberger, LaVale; Gordon Hershberger, Cresaptown; and James Hershberger, Boonsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Harley Harris, Fairmont; and Mrs Chris Snyder, Cresaptown; a brother Clev Robinson, Bedford Road; 2 grandchildren (there were more-MA), 51 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grand children.
   She was a member of the Cresaptown Methodist Church.  the body will be at the George Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 when friends will be received.
   The body will be taken to the Cresaptown Methodist Church tomorrow at noon where services will be conducted at 2 P.M.  Rev. Edward Lewis, Baltimore, and the Reverend William Balderson, Cresaptown, will officiate.  Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
   Pall bearers will be Cecil Hershberger, Wilbert H. Harris, Bruce Hershberger, Robert Hershberger, and Jimmie Dick Hershberger.
