James L Frame was born on 1 January 1775, in Botetourt, Virginia, British Colonial America, his father, John Francis Frame, was 26 and his mother, Elizabeth Anne Gibson, was 22. He married Elizabeth Rogers on 10 December 1801, in Montgomery, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 6 June 1846, in Byrd Township, Brown, Ohio, United States, at the age of 71.
