    Funeral services will be held Sunday at the Church of Christ at 2:30 for James Grant Frakes who was killed at Bakersfield, Calif., September 13, when he was struck by a car.

    Mr. Frakes, 33, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Frakes of Canalou, Mo., who were former residents of Steele. While here they were merchants and also engaged in farming at that time.

    In addition to his parents, he also leaves a number of brothers and sisters.

    Brother H. F. Sharp will conduct the funeral services and interment will be made at Mount Zion Cemetery with German Undertaking Co. in charge.
