Per 1880 Census, Concord Twp, Bureau Co, IL James lives in Iowa in 1937 when Ora L. died. On 1900 Concord Co census, there is a James Fletcher, age 34, b. Feb 1866, living as laborer in home of Alvin Miller. Single, born in IL, Parents born OH, OH. Fits except his father born in VA, would he know. 1870 census has Jas age 3; 1880 census has James W. age 13. Per obit, James was reared and educated in IL. He moved to the Crawfordsville community in 1883 and had been engaged in farming and tiling there. He had tiled many of the the farms in the Welsh neighborhoods. Apparently never married. Middle name from Evelyn L. McKittrick, 10 Sep 1996.
