... Martha C. (Lina) Ewing was born on the old Ewing homestead five miles west of Greensburg in 1848 and was married to Mr. Davis in 1872. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Davis lived for ten years in Jackson township, moving from there in 1883 to the Turner farm in Clay township. About fifteen years ago they retired from the farm and located in Burney which has since been their home. For 54 years this couple went down life's journey together. They were blessed with two sons and a daughter: George W. and William of near Burney and Mrs. Della Hanks at home. There are two granddaughters: Crystal Davis and Mary Hanks.
