James Craig, Esqr, Sheriff of Lancaster County, conveys to Richard Wright a tract containing 250 acres on a branch of Cane Creek, waters of Catawba River, Waxhaw settlement, butting and bounding N. E. on land of Thomas Walker and vacant land, N. W. and S. W. on vacant lands, and joining a corner of William Guthrice(?) lands, South East on lands of Robert Ramsey, Robert Dunlap, and vacant land, granted to George Greerson, who was impleaded by James Dunlap July Term 1787 for a debt of 9 pounds, 8 shillings sterling. Richard Wright being last bidder at sheriff's sale, for nine pounds.
