“James Britt
Elberton
James Evoid Britt, 69, of 1754 Washington Highway, died Friday,
April 3, 1998.
A native of Emanuel County, Mr. Britt was a son of the late Nathan
Britt and Ledora Barfield Britt. He was a painter, a U.S. Army veteran
and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Britt was a member of
Flatwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home,
Elberton, with the Rev. Phillip Hart officiating. Entombment will be
in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Elberton.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Smith Britt; two daughters,
Theresa Lee Norris, Hartwell, and Pam Mattox, Elberton; a son, James
Evoid Britt Jr., Elberton; two sisters, Sarah Craft, Gwinnett County,
and Helen Orr, Buford; and a granddaughter.
The family is at the residence.”
