Notes

James Bostick was a Quaker. He made a deposition on "Pryer's Neglect" in 1748 in which he gave his age as 48. His will was dated 5/4/1749 and was proved 3/6/1749 in Kent County, Maryland. The children as mentioned in his will are Sanders, James, Shadrick, Azariah, Abraham, Reuben, John, Rebeccah Bostick and Sabina Howell. Sabina is likely on older child as she has married by 1749. Other evidence is that James is the oldest son, that Sanders is the son of Margaret Sanders, and that Azariah was the son of Elizabeth. The order of the children and assignment to the two mothers is uncertain. In his will he deposes of a 100 acre property called "Pryer's Neglect", and another called "Sanders' Addition".

James Bostick may have been married twice: first to Margaret Sanders, daughter of George Sanders and Selenah of Kent County, Maryland and second to Elizabeth Linegar, daughter of George Linegar and Sarah. She may have married 2nd, John Williams and 3rd, John Abbott. (More research needed).
