Jakob Friedrich Gottfried Sevin, was second son of Ernst Gottfried Carl Sevin. Jakob's two sons, Charles and Jacob Theodore came to the United States. Charles went first to Guilderland, NY for two years and then to Erie, Pennsylvania. His brother Jacob Theodore came to Erie, Pennsylvania a few years later. University of Michigan Information from 1656 - 1868 is from this document "Jacob was a teacher in Heidelberg and Grunstadt and married Catharina Vobling.
