From Axel Bauder 25 Aug 2004: "Two years ago I searched the oldest church records particularly for "Jauch" (1652 - ca. 1707). During this I noted down Jakob Jauch was buried 16. January 1697, Age 72." On 5 May 1665 (Schwenninger Fleckenbuch 1654) a description of properties of Jakob Jauch 1) farmland was situated on one side by Thomas Quattlaender, the other side by Erhard Schaentzlin, Hieronymous Jauch to the front and Caspar Hausser behind. Also mentioned in this book: ½ fieldt in the field sector to Muehlhausen, under the mountain, situated one side to Wem Laufer, other side to Ludwig Schueler, in front to Christ Palmtag, behind Jacob Honer. 2) 2 vierling field on road to Dauchingen, before Rinelaw, situated one side to Jerg Weiller, other side to Jacob Haller, under reeve (or 2nd. reeve), in front of Christ Palmtag, behind Melchior Link. 3) One more field in above mentioned field sector, in "meßjucharten", 2 vierling, situated on one side an "Anwandel", on the other side to the field of Conrad Rappen, "Scherers" in front of Theiß Specken, behind Wem Lauffers, reeve. 4) 3 vierling behind "Hencken Berg" in the above mentioned field again, situated on Hans Jacob Wolffensperger, at the top to Hans Bidermann, down to the Allmand-Street to "Berenthal". 5) 1 vierling in the "langen Ziehl" inabove mentioned field sector, on one side an "Anwandel", the other side beside Erhard Schlenckher, above to Johannes Schlenckher and down on myself. 6) 1 juch. at "Haga", again the same field sector along to Martn Jauchen, the other side to Melchior Linckhen, in top to Erhard Hauser and down to Hanß Schlenckher, Miller. 7) 2 vierling behind "Oeschelen", again in the same field sector, along on my own (field), the other side to Theiß Speckhen, on top along the wood, down taper off. 8) 2 vierling on the "Holtzaeckhern", in the field sector to Villingen, along to Lorenz Mayer, the other side along Jacob Strammen, inwards to Thomas Quatlaender, outside to Hanß Schlencker. 9) 1 ½ juch. in the Hissen-Thal (Hissen-Valley) in field sector to Villingen, along to Jacob Kaiser, the other side along to Jacob Mehne, on top to Schloßjaeckhle Benzing and down to the spring of the Neckar-River. 10) Now the grassland A half mannsmadt "ob dem Stein" (off the stone), situated along Erhard Hauser, the other side Hans Schlenckher Hansbueb, on top to Erhard Wirttner and down to Ludwig Schueller. 11) One quart in ?Rammels wiesen?, situated along Jacob Honer, the other side Erhard Wirttner,on the top to Hans Schlencker Miller, down to Michel Jauchen. NOTE: ?under one roof?: before 30years war, house and barn were separated. After the 30 years war people built house and barn together ? less costs, cheaper housebuilding, but more danger of fire.
