Jacquelyn A. Cookson, 87, of Milton, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Rock Haven Nursing Home, Janesville surrounded by her family. She was born on December 23, 1928, in Beloit, WI, to the late Earl James and Constance (Mortensen) Powers. On June 1, 1947, in Janesville, Jacquelyn would marry Wayne Alvin Cookson. She worked for 20 years at the Burdick Corporation.
Jacquelyn is survived by her four children; Clinton D. (Cherie) Cookson, Kathleen Buchs, Connie Fleming, Wade (Barbara) Cookson; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Doris D’Angelo, and Aletha Ash; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Cookson; daughter, Theresa Cookson; three brothers; and two sisters.
A private memorial celebration of life will be held at Crosby Place, Janesville, WI, on December 23, at 5 p.m., for the family.
