Discrepancy
Several Ancestry Member Trees and other internet sites claim that this Jacob Snider died 1808 in Botetourt County, Virginia, but the record below clearly shows that he died prior to Sept. 1821 when his will was probated.

Granddaughter of John Snider (1789-1863) and Lucy Dempsey (1794-1877), his wife m. 1810 Gr-Grandaughter of Jacob Snider and Rebecca ____, his wife. Jacob Snider served as 1st Lieutenant, 7777, in the 13th Regiment, Pennsylvania militia, under Col. Walter Stewart. He was born in Germany; died in Virginia.
