Notes

Several Ancestry Trees and other sources claim that Jacob Moon was born in 1732, but based upon land records in Frederick County, Jacob and his older brother James acquired land in 1752, and both would have had to have been of legal age (age 21) to receive land grants, so Jacob was likely born a few years earlier, perhaps abt. 1729. Also Jacob's eldest child also appears to make Jacob's probable birth year no later than 1730.
