Private Jacob W. Glenn, age 25, enrolled and was mustered the same as William and paid on 28 February 1862. He was absent for sick furlough from 12 February 1862 to 30 August 1862, The Sep- Oct 1962 muster had the following remark: Sick at Little Rocks ince 22 August 1862. He was apparently sick February through August and hospitalized at Little Rock. From 31 Dec 1862 until 30 June 1863 he was listed as missing in the Trans-Mississippi Department. In the July - August 1863 and the Sep - Oct 1863 musters he was listed as absent. The Nov - Dec 1863 muster contained the following remark: Deserted the cause inTrans-Mississippi Department, Date unknown. Jacob Glenn was not a deserter. He later joined the 12th TX Infantry. Not traced after 1870 Milam Co. Living next door to brother,Williamson Glenn. The Francis living with him was probably his niece, Williamson Glenn's daughter. References
