Facts and Events
I could not find this family in the 1850 census, they may have been in transition from SC to GA at the time the census was taken.

1880 Dickson Co., TN; 5th Civil Dist.; E.D. 34; page 297A; HH 16/16:
Jacob Chastine, age 60, farmer, b. SC, father b. SC, mother b. NC
Nancy, wife, age 58, b. SC, father b. SC, mother b. VA
Sallie, dau., age 23, b. GA
William, son, age 9/12, b. Sep in TN, father b. SC, mother b. GA
Sesley Liberon, boarder, age 56, b. SC, father b. SC, mother b. VA
(I think perhaps Wm. is actually a grandson of Jacob and Nancy.)
Pickens Co., SC Deeds, page 484-5, Roll #pk31:
12 Nov. 1850 Jacob sells to Wm. Sutherland and James Keith for $325 two tracts of land, one tract of 270 acres and the other 148 acres. Nancy Chastain signs as wife of Jacob relinquishing her rights to the property. This includes the land given to Abraham and Jacob Chastain by their father Abraham in 1841.
Jacob and Nancy may have died in TN or perhaps they moved back to GA before their death, I don't know at this time.
