Records show that Jacob (Baumhauer) and his wife(Eleanora) were sponsors on 4 Feb 1759 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Rhinebeck Flats, Dutchess Co., NY, for Jacob, son of Jacob Brust and wife Anna Catharina (Wolff). It seems the Brust's accompanied Jacob Baumhauer and others to Rensselaer about 1761. From http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyrensse/letters.htm: Adam BRUST's father was Jacob BRUST, born 2 August 1760 (this must be wrong since he was baptized in 1759), who married Eva COONRADT. Jacob died on 28 January 1832, as stated above. His wife, Eva, died on 30 October 1833. John BRUST was born on 2 May 1762, wife Catharina COONRADT.
