=WORK IN PROGRESS===CAUTION SPECULATION

PROBLEM: Is Izri Byars who died 21 Apr 1867 (husband of Caroline Whitson) the same Isri Byars, son of Imri Byars? If so, then William Byars was his brother and I.D. & Zithry Byars were his cousins. If not then it could be the other way around. I think that because William filed the original Affidavit of Decease with the names of the heirs, he is more likely to be the closest relative. Zithry & Isaac Dan had a brother named Zeri whose name is biblically the same as Izri. There is a chance this could be him instead. There was also an Isri Byars, son of John & Elizabeth (Thomas) Byars who we think was born about 1812. I think he is too old to have married young Caroline.

BYARS named in Izri Byar's estate papers; no relationships stated: William Byars filed Affidavit of Decease & Names of Heirs 21 May 1867 William Byars purchased a horse named John & a poney; Sale Bill, 5 Jul 1867 I. D. [Isaac Dan] Byars, owing, $200, since 31 May 1866; Notes & Accounts dated 24 Jan 1868 Zithri Byars, owing $100, since 28 May 1866; Notes & Accounts dated 24 Jan 1868

1850: FIND IN CENSUS; Searched page by page through the South District of Jackson County, IL; no luck

1860: FIND IN CENSUS (William & Imri were in Perry County, see their notes)

1861 Apr 2: Izrie/Issie/Izzie Byars & Caroline Whitson, Jackson Co. [Illinois on-line Marriage Index] The IGI extractors thought this might say Igro Byars; they are usually pretty good, so the handwriting must be very bad.
