Israel Henry Groh was born in Stark county, Ohio, February 15, 1838, and departed this life November 19, 1899, aged 61 years, 9 months and 4 days. He was one of six children, four sons and two daughters. To brothers and one sister have preceded him to the spirit world. At the age of seven years he, with his parents, moved to Dekalb county, Ind., where he has since resided. Because of his occupation (that of a thresher) he had a great many accquaintences. A little over a year ago, he with his wife united with the Lutheran church at Richland Center. His afflicion was of such a character that he was unable to attend the services of his church, but he frequently expressed a desire to do so. He leaves a wife, three sons, one brother and one sister, besides a great many friends and acquaintences and friends, the funeral services were conducted in the Richland Center church by Revs. A. E. Gaff and E. E. Campbell. Text 3:36 The family of Israel Groh desire to express thier heartfelt thanks to the neighbors who so kindly assisted during the illness of the deceased.
