    Isaiah Moberley, son of Clement and Mary Moberley, md. Fanny Coleman. He was born in 1758 in Bedford County, VA and moved to South Carolina along with others of his family. "He . . served in the Rev. War. . .Mil. records show that he served under Capt. Ephraim Lyles, Capt. Bowie and Col. John Person. Also under Capt. Aramanus Lyles, Capt. William Vaught, Cols. John Winn, Richard Winn, and David Hopkins. He served from 1775 to Jan 1782. He was wounded at the Battle of Mobley's Meeting House, receiving a flesh wound--ball went through his arm. He moved to Kentucky after the war. Isaiah Mobley died Oct. 23, 1836 in Crawford Co., Arkansas."     Isaiah Mobley was born December 14, 1754, in the state of South Carolina. The names of hi parents are not shown.
    While a resident of Fairfield District, South Carolina, Isaiah Mobley volunteered sometime in 1775, and served until sometime in January, 1782, on tours of from two to three months each, amounting to about eleven months and fourteen days in all, as a private under lieutenant Ephraim lisle, . . . in the south Carolina Troops. He was in several skirmishes with the tories and Indians and in one engagement received a wound from a musket ball which passed through one of his arms between the wrist and elbow; name of the place where said wound was received, not shown.
    After the revolution, he continued to reside in Fairfield District, south Carolina, for a number of years; then moved to Kentucky, and settled in Warren County, that state; thence to Crawford County, Arkansas Territory. His removal to Kentucky took place in 1807 and to Arkansas Territory, in 1830.
    Isaiah Mobley was allowed pension on his application executed February 7, 1835, while residing in Crawford County, Arkansas Territory.
    He died October 23, 1836, place not shown.
